The one on the left is Hillside Abigail with several of her siblings when they were around 8 weeks old. She was one of the first litters born in 2021. She is a lovely doe with good wool and nice temperament. Although we have a lot of black bunnies to provide fiber for the 'Moonlit Dance' color of Hula Bunny yarn so I don't know if she will be bred or not. Nine of the twenty four bunnies currently here at Hillside Farm are black, although Abigail is one of the two young black females, so if any more black bunnies are needed, either Abigail or Victoria will most likely be chosen.

Baby Abigail

This is Abigail at four weeks old and her brother, Snowy. She's the black one halfway inside the nest box, but you knew that.

Abigail and siblings

This is Abigail and all of her siblings. In there with her (and I'm not sure which one she is in this picture) are Professor Bunbun (black buck), Jumper (black buck), Olivia II (black doe), Monica (black doe) and Snowy (REW buck who is the pink one in the picture). I haven't a clue who of the black ones is whom, though.

They are about one day old and about all we can tell at this stage is a guess on what color they may be as an adult, not even really any idea on genders yet. Some folks say they can tell genders at this age, but we've not managed it yet. With this litter, since the colors are blacks and whites, it's even easy to tell colors but that's not typical where there are more color options than just the blacks and whites.
