Hillside Alexander is a sweet buck and our first fawn colored buck. He is still young, only 10 months old as of January 2022 when this page is being updated. He's got great wool and a good temperament. His ear carriage is not quite what it could be. It seems the friendlier the bunny, the worse the ear carriage, I'm not sure if the two are connected, but it sure seems that way. Also, it frequently seems the denser the coat, the worse the ear carriage as well.
Alex does have a great density of color, he's almost a red fawn color. He has met up with Aurora, a fawn doe, although she doesn't have as dense of a color as he does. Since they're both fawn with 'self' colored parents, they can both engender fawns or tortoiseshells. She has an albino parent, so we know she can engender albino offspring. We don't know if Alex can or not. But, they're expecting a litter in early February, depending on the litter, we may learn more about the parents.
I need to get some more pictures of Alex. He keeps moving when there's a camera pointed at him, most of his pictures are just kinda a blond blurr.
